Welcome to the Skinner project.
Skinner was a loco that was on the back of a lorry at Felin Fawr about to be saved, but sadly due to lack of communication within the quarry. Skinner was unloaded and eventually scrapped.
However there are some components that survive, such as works and name plates, a pressure gauge, safety valves and some other parts.
To date we have secured the works plate and pressure gauge, with the potential of obtaining the safety valves. We have also acquired most of the original drawings for the locomotive. We are currently having the drawings drawn out on CAD, for improved quality drawings and DXF files to have frames and plate work cut.
The project is currently funded by one individual, which means progress will happen as and when. Donations are always welcome if you'd like to help bring this lost Loco back to life.
You can follow progress on this page or on our Facebook page.
