3 carriages were provided for a heritage centre in England in 2023. 2 wheel chair access carriages and one guards carriage were constructed and delivered by the Summer of 2023. The carriages were twin air braked with an emergency brake on the guards carriage.
We have had various slate wagon restorations over the year totalling some 7 wagons in recent years. These have ranged to straightening cages, to constructing new and has included running gear work and traditional riveting.
One of our 2024 projects was the restoration of a Hudson bogie carriage for the Richmond Light Railway. The carriage was the Mines rescue wagon at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway and was fully stripped down and rebuilt into its original toast rack carriage by our team. The brake gear was reversed engineered by our team and all apart from the machining was done on site.
One of our on going projects is the restoration of a 48HP Ruston locomotive. This loco arrived in all it's basic components, and we have been working through all the bits doing repairs and cleaning and painting, and then assembling the chassis. 2026 will see the loco progress onto moving under it's own power.
